Int3s’ Grid Information Factory is a suite of innovative technology components designed to address the problem recently introduced by the Smart Grid revolution: how will energy and utility companies handle all the data being generated by the grid and turn it into useful information?
The Smart Grid will increase the volume of grid and metering data flowing into a utility’s IT infrastructure over 1000-fold due to installation of Smart Meters and various digital sensors/controls. This raw data, originating from diverse grid device platforms, needs to securely converge in the backend systems before being processed and converted into information that results in timely tactical actions or strategic decisions. Grid Data Manager is the heart of the suite and provides the foundation necessary to facilitate the presentation of grid information via the Grid Monitor and Grid Analyzer modules. |
